What are the internal characteristics of natural amber?
Amber has a low hardness, light texture, sturdy, moist, jewel-like luster and crystallinity. Another characteristic of amber is its rich inclusions such as insects, plants and minerals. Let's take a look at the internal features of natural amber.
Animal inclusions. Hundreds of animals such as beetles, flies, cockroaches, bees, ants, etc. are kept in amber, but there are only a few of them seen locally, and it is rare for animals to be intact, mostly when they break free from sinister situations. Swirl pattern. It is mostly distributed around the insect inclusions, which may be formed when the insects are struggling, or during the formation of amber, where foreign particles fall into it.
