I often put a jewelry scale, a cup, a bottle of pure water, a piece of silk thread or a circle of transparent tape in the bag. When you don't buy something, the water can quench your thirst. Once you need to measure the density, you can pour it into the cup and immediately start. The method is also very simple:
1. Pour water into the cup, place it on the jewelry scale, and zero the reading of the jewelry scale;
2. Carry the silk thread or tape to suspend the object to be tested in the water. Do not touch the wall without exposing the water surface, and read the first reading. 8.5g
3. Suspend the object to be tested (using a scotch tape when the wire cannot be fixed), then completely sink into the bottom of the cup to get a second reading. 25.4g
4. Divide the first reading by the second reading, which is the relative density of the analyte. 25.4/8.5=2.988.........
It should be noted that tap water is not untestable, but the accuracy is smaller. In addition, if you want to test relatively small jade pieces, it is best to use brackets to fix the wire to avoid the sloshing affecting the accuracy.
