Since the country does not have mandatory environmental protection requirements for apparel, no one can answer the question that environmental protection is not environmentally friendly on the market. Since the 1990s, industrialized developed countries have successively introduced relevant environmental protection laws and textile environmental protection standards and implemented stringent tests on imported textiles. For example, the European Union imposes restrictions on the content of more than 100 harmful substances in imported clothing. Japanese merchants have explicitly requested that China's garment companies conduct inspections on needles, pins, and broken hands. China's silk and silk exports have to accept more than 200 tests. A garment that was exported to the European Union by a company in Jiangsu was returned because the zipper lead was too high, resulting in a loss of one million yuan.

Experts concerned said that many garment companies have had similar experiences. Nowadays, garments exported to domestic market have been changed to domestic sales in addition to changes in the market or the quality of appearance, and some have been returned due to environmental protection failing to meet the requirements of others. of. The Chinese environmental label is a green pass for Chinese products to the world. However, there are currently more than 50,000 garment companies in the country, and only 18 of them have received the Chinese environmental label. Many companies simply do not realize the seriousness of the problem. After the accession to the WTO, due to the reduction of tariffs, more foreign textiles will occupy the domestic market. At the same time, if China's textiles are blocked by others because of environmental issues, the days of Chinese textile companies will be very sad.
