Vietnam wants to promote the production of textile raw materials

Since Vietnam's accession to the WTO in 2007, the textile and clothing industry has achieved a breakthrough, with an average annual growth of 25-28% in exports. In 2012, the entire industry is expected to export 17 billion U.S. dollars, and in 2013 it will export about 20 to 21 billion U.S. dollars. At the same time, the production of textile raw materials in Vietnam can only meet the domestic demand of about 40%, and most of them still rely on imports from abroad. To this end, Vietnam's textile industry hopes to expand foreign investment, develop raw material production, realize a complete production chain of yarn-textile-printing and dyeing, and participate more deeply in the global textile supply chain.
