The first "China Foreign Investment Cooperation Fair" opened in Beijing

On November 3, the inaugural "China Foreign Investment Cooperation Fair" was successfully held at the Beijing China International Trade Center. Organized jointly by the China Industrial Overseas Development and Planning Association and the China Development Bank, the event marked a significant step in promoting international investment cooperation with China. This year’s fair featured a high-level forum centered on the theme of “Mutual Benefit and Win-Win, Promoting China’s Foreign Investment Cooperation.” As an authoritative platform for investment exchange, the event brought together a wide range of participants, including government agencies, international economic organizations, foreign chambers of commerce, Fortune 500 companies, leading financial institutions, and professional service firms. The fair aimed to create a dynamic and interactive space where global investors could connect with Chinese partners and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Notably, Mr. Zeng Peiyan, Honorary President of the China Industrial Overseas Development and Planning Association, Principal of the China International Economic Exchange, and former Vice Premier of the State Council of China, delivered the opening speech. In his address, he emphasized that as China’s economy continues to grow, the scale and quality of foreign investment will also expand. He urged countries to oppose all forms of trade protectionism and work together to foster investment and cooperation for mutual development. Mr. Zeng highlighted that multinational investments have long been a key driver of global economic growth. An open and transparent market environment is essential to sustaining this momentum. Drawing from over three decades of China’s reform and opening-up experience, he pointed out that cross-border investment has played a crucial role in boosting economic growth, creating jobs, increasing tax revenues, and enhancing exports. It has also contributed significantly to industrial upgrading and the advancement of economic system reforms. The fair not only showcased China’s commitment to openness and cooperation but also served as a vital bridge between the global business community and China’s rapidly evolving market. With strong participation from both domestic and international stakeholders, the event set a positive tone for future foreign investment initiatives.
