This year, Mode Shanghai once again became a key platform for Italian fashion brands to enter the Chinese market. Among the participants were well-known names like Araldi, Diego M, DELVES-JK, Beatrice B, and Santini, along with several other Italian labels that have not yet actively expanded into China. These brands are not global giants but rather mid-tier players in the international fashion scene, aiming to tap into the growing Chinese consumer demand.
A total of 42 Italian brands participated in this year's event, occupying nearly 500 square meters of exhibition space. This highlights the increasing interest from European designers in exploring opportunities in one of the world's most dynamic fashion markets.
Diego M, for instance, is a designer brand created by Diego and his wife Manula, specializing in high-quality coats. The brand targets mature, fashion-conscious customers who value unique urban lifestyles and timeless style. Their presence at Mode Shanghai reflects a strategic move to build brand awareness and connect directly with Chinese buyers and retailers.
With its focus on emerging and mid-tier fashion houses, Mode Shanghai continues to play an important role in bridging European design with the Chinese market, offering a platform for smaller but ambitious brands to gain visibility and expand their reach.
