One of the highlights of the day was the "Weisman" 2010 China Knit Fashion Design Contest, held at 17:00 in the Central Hall of the D.PARK Beijing Clubhouse. Organized by the China Fashion Designers Association and Zhuhai Weisman Garment Co., Ltd., the contest received over 1,200 entries from 26 regions across the country since its launch in September 2009. After an initial review in January, 23 designs from students, professionals, and independent designers were selected for the final round. The competition focused on the theme of “convergence,” encouraging participants to blend creative ideas with knitwear design. The resulting pieces reflected a strong sense of style and market value, showcasing the evolving direction of knitwear fashion. What sets this competition apart is the support provided to the participants. The "China Fashion Sweater Research and Development Base," established by the China Fashion Designers Association and Zhuhai Weisman Garment Co., Ltd., offered practical assistance in producing the garments, giving young talents a chance to experience advanced knitting techniques. This support played a crucial role in the success of the final presentations, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to nurturing future design talent.
